BlenderTuts tutorial: Basic Sculpting and ZBrush-ish Matcaps in Blender

2011.06.16 –┬áBlenderTuts tutorial: Basic Sculpting and ZBrush-ish Matcaps in Blender

Oliver Villar Diz from BlenderTuts has recently realized a couple of great tutorials to help anybody who wants to start sculpting in Blender 2.5x. In the first tutorial, aimed to beginners in sculpting that have a basic knowledge of the program, he shows a comprehensive overview of Blender sculpting tools and parameters; at the end there’s a nice timelapse showing a character head sculpted from a sphere:

In the second tutorial there’s an interesting translation to Blender of the well known matcaps feature/technique from ZBrush, very easy to achieve but yet powerful and fast (thanks to GLSL):

it seems the Blender community has gained another talented educator willing to share his knowledge so don’t forget to visit BlenderTuts website and check out the other tutorials and stuff.
